These are always pretty tough because I wind up using runs that have already happened but here goes... I'd do mine as a line wide re-boot. Nothing crazy like Dr. Doom with hooves but the original stories updated in the first issue allowing the writer to "adjust" some things (add dialogue, change a scenario). The idea would be to have a Marvel Universe like the one we grew up on. No crossovers outside of guest appearances here and there. Fantastic Four-John Byrne Avengers- Joe Casey/Mark Bagley (As gonzo as alot of Casey's work is, he's a true Avengers fan and I'd think that he'd do them right.) X-Men (Original Five) - John Byrne Captain America- Rick Remender/John Romita Jr. (I admit it, I'm intrigued!) Daredevil- Same creative team as now Amazing Spider-Man- Roger Stern/John Romita Jr. Invincible Iron Man- Dave Michelinie/Bob Layton The Incredible Hulk- Jeff Parker/Ed McGuinness
The Mighty Thor- Walt Simonson Something with the All-New All Different X-Men but not as X-Men- Chris Claremont/Alan Davis Nick Fury- Ed Brubaker/Steve Epting/Jackson Guice Ant-Man- Tom DeFalco/Ron Frenz/Sal Buscema Union Jack- Christos Gage/Mike Perkins Defenders- Peter David/Leonard Kirk Guardians of the Galaxy- Jim Starlin Black Widow- Neal Adams Black Panther- George Perez This would be a fun comic full of Wakandan wonder. Nothing political, no gritty vigilante stuff, straight on action and excitement. I'd invite some of the current "Architects" (Fraction, Hickman, Aaron, and maybe Bendis) some up and comers, and some of the more classic writers (Weezie, Shooter, Thomas, Nocenti..) to pitch ideas for a Marvel Premiere title that would springboard to newer ongoing series using various artists that I left out.
