Would have been neat for TRIO to have appeared in (the return of) Danger Unlimited, spinning off into their own book...

Gosh I want more DU.

I'm afraid I am not getting the 'biblical'.

Golgotha, the site where Jesus's crucifixion took place.

I'm looking forward to seeing what John has this fellow do in the pages of TRIO next month.  He looks the part of a Nazi leader with a strong sci-fi vibe.  I expect this guy to be a monster!

I remember a post some years back, in which JB revealed a lot of things about untold things about DU .... and that keep me wanting to see more of that great serie...Even if I like TRIO a lot, I still have faith that one day JB will bring the title back .....

Love the cigarette

••

My inspiration here comes in part from an article I read in TIME about a million years ago. A visit to a cancer ward in a large hospital, specifically a ward where men were being treated for throat, jaw and face cancer brought on by smoking. These were guys who had essentially had the bottom half of their faces scooped out. One, who still had some semblance of a throat, tho most of his lower face was gone, had been fitted with a plastic tube that allowed him to continue to smoke. (This was in the days when smoking was still allowed in hospitals, even in the wards.)

So here was this guy, with no lower half on his face, nothing at all he could taste with, yet he still had to smoke -- and the doctors allowed it!
---
This reminds me of a movie with Andy Garcia, I can't remember what it was. He was asked to quit smoking by all of his friends throughout the movie. He went to question a man with a hole in his throat because of throat cancer as the man talked he lit up a cigarette and smoked it through the neck hole. He asked Garcia "would you like a cigarette?" And he said "I just quit".

I would love to see Danger Unlimited too, but the new JB creations (Cold War, Trio) are more than worthy replacements!

Not that I would mind seeing JB working on a few IDW-licensed properties again. Judge Dredd anyone? Maybe another Rocketeer story too...
