Didn't they already do a relaunch with that retarded Rob Lefield design back in the mid-ninties.

I think the new Captain America design is from the next crossover mini-series: "Avengers vs. X-Men 2: Paintball Wars!"

@ John Cole: The Heroes Reborn wasn't so much a relaunch as it was an "alternate universe" take and an attempt by Marvel to bolster sagging sales. As for Captain America, the only thing Liefeld changed was the "A" on Captain America's mask and while Liefeld certainly isn't the best artist around,I prefer what he drew to the redesigns that are being shown now. :)

Speaking of Liefeld, poking around online I came across this: ![](uploads/JohnByrne2/2012-07-29_044819_th.jpeg)
That's actually pretty good! Has Liefeld suddenly learned to draw? Is this a sign of the Apocalypse??

Lol @ the dull stick line JB :) In my opinion,I think Liefeld has the talent to be more than what he is as an artist as the above sketch you posted shows. I just wonder why he hasn't unlocked that potential?

"Has Liefeld suddenly learned to draw?"
**
I'll believe it when I actually see a full, properly proportioned figure, including wrists/hands, and ankles/feet! That said, that really is a pretty cool head shot.

A few years ago, I saw a Liefeld sketch of Batman and was stunned by how good it was. If all his work looked like that one isolated drawing, I might buy his work. But everytime I see anything published that he's drawn, I cringe.

I think its because he was paid a lot of money to just keep on doing what he was doing. In that kind of situation he may have thought, why change?

It does seem to follow the anatomical rules of a head. That's always a good place to start. JB, do you realize that this is the second time you've had a positive response to a Liefeld piece recently? Maybe it is the end times.
