It seemed that the colorists were all over the place with poor Wanda back in the 60's. Her costume would be magenta, red, and sometimes purple...and of course the whole black or brown hair colors.•• There are some great colorists thru the history of comics, but unfortunately it's also a job that gets assigned to girlfriends and wives and buddies who need work, and so on. Talent is not always a prerequisite. The other day I posted a cover from NIGHT NURSE, joking that blonde Linda Carter, the lead, had apparently dyed her hair since she was a brunette STUDENT NURSE. But check out this cover from the fourth and final issue: Blonde in the corner symbol, but a redhead in the main image? And, no, before anyone asks, in those days before Photoshop the corner symbol would not have been a "drop in". It would have been colored by whoever colored the rest of the cover. I'd love to see that issue! Was there actually a REASON for Linda to have red hair?
