And will they call Jean "Marvel Girl"? In the interviews they only say "Jean Grey" sometimes I wonder if they even remember her original code name.

Remember, one of the reasons HIDDEN YEARS was cancelled was that it had no individual "voice" of it's own.A lot of modern comicbook art, especially for covers, reminds me of the Danny Kaye song about bullfighters. The first thing to do is to stand… …and stand …and stand …and stand…

I'm OK with this drawing of the "original" X-men. If they scowl in the comic all the time, that will be a shame. Immonen is capable if drawing cheerful teen heroes-

I agree and that's one of the things that disappointments me about that image.

Not smiling is not such a big deal, or even a new thing, for the X-Men. They did start out among Marvel's "troubled teenagers", remember. Thing is, back in the day, that was one of the things that made them DIFFERENT. Now it's same old same old.

Does that X-Men book take place in the past or present? If the past, what's the hook? If the present, when did the Beast lose his fur?

The original X-Men are pulled from the past into the present Matt, time travel like what was "done" with Captain Mar-Vell not long ago (or so we were led to believe).
