I thought Amanda Conner did a good job with Power Girl on that last series, which was a lot of fun (written by Palimotti and Gray).

Brian: Nathan, Power Girl's costume design has changed since that promo image came out. Apparently, DC agreed with you.

---

I'm seeing that now... I didn't notice the difference when looking at the little thumbnails in google image search...

Still having trouble seeing a "P".

Look! Up in the sky! It's Monocle Girl!

Wasn't it the events of FLASHPOINT that lead to "Nu52"? And that
hinged upon time being altered, didn't it? If so, how does an alteration
of time cause the Earth 2 characters to be established in present day
instead of during WWII? And how does that cause Alan Scott to be
Gay? How can a time travel story cuase such sweeping changes yet
still preserve the occurrance of specific stories such as THE KILLING
JOKE?

I know that this may come off as a bit fanboyish, but this is the sort of
thing that has kept me from becoming a DC fan ever since CRISIS. DC
seems to have the attitude of "We're about to make big changes! And
we're concocting a big story to explain how we get there!" but the story
they come up with does not adequately explain the changes being
made, and if anybody questions that, then their attitude seems to be
"don't sweat the details, just enjoy the new stories!".

So does everything need to be explained, or doesn't it? Make up your
mind, DC. They seem to want it both ways. If it's not important, then
why bother with FLASHPOINT or CRISIS in the first place? I would give
them more credit if they just ceased publishing the "old universe" one
month and simply started with the "new universe" the next - ala
Marvel's Untimate Universe (had Marvel stopped telling original Marvel
Universe stories, though). But these lame attampts to bridge the gaps
only make matters much worse, and I just can't understand why DC
insists on poorly implementing these changes every single time.

I wonder if GP noticed that when he was designing it?

I don't think that was George's design at all.

Kinda wish they'd just gone with the chest circle and been done with it. Love
the costume for the most part, but not the insignia.

If so, he must be doing his Jim Lee impression. That collar, cape and those extra lines on the gloves all feel like regulation Lee to me.

But how is that emblem a "P"? Is it supposed to be a "P" with a "G" mixed in? I'm referring to the extra red line protruding from what would otherwise be a "P".

Outside of her heritage as a Wally Wood creation, I've never cared much about Power Girl. But at least I could easily pick her out of a crowd. Now she looks like might fit in wit the Great Lakes Avengers.
