It wasn't very hidden, but I believe at the end of Iron Man 128 (or thereabouts), there were two pieces of paper floating on an empty street that bid farewell to John Romita Jr's first tenure on that title with "So long JRJR!" and "we'll miss ya!"

Nathan, didn't that artist get in trouble for that Harras smack?  I want to say he got fired, though I could be wrong.

Yeah that was Al Milgrom and yes he was fired as staff but I think still got freelance work afterwards.
