Very cool and a ton of fun. Enough info given to get me into it by enough left to get me coming back. I thought the design for Nautilus and Leviathan were outstanding. I am hooked and am looking forward to the next issue.

Thanks for another great comic book, JB.

It's been quite a long time since I've gone to pick up a new monthly comic book. The last time was at the end of the first series of Next Men. I know, I've been gone for a while from "the scene". But after reading about a new book coming out, Trio, this peaked my interest. On about Trio #1.

Love the cover for a first issue. Next issue's cover also looks fantastic (gotta find me the variant cover for that one too, wow).
The storytelling is done in a way that just makes me smile, the book has lots of action and the characters are intriguing with this first glimpse. Do I need to even comment about the art...
I am hooked and I can't wait for the next issue. Thanks JB.

BTW to catch up I did pick up Cold War and I plan on getting Next Men 31 and up.

Paul: Nathan, I had not heard of a second variant. I'll check with my LCS to see how many needed ordered to get that one.

Thanks, Paul!

My friend *might* have created a fake photoshop cover to screw with me... "With friends like these..." :)

Nathan, my LCS guy said all that was offered was the one in ten Sinnott variant in color. He did say that the image used for advertising was like the one you posted above. Probably where your friend found the image.

Paper's face in the version above does look more Sinnott-y....but not Asian at all.

Love the issue!  I have to say, the demise of the crew of the Malagen really gave a punch in a way I have not experienced in comics for some time.  There was no blood, but the narrative and the imagery was more chilling and more powerful in conveying a sense of horror and loss than a gratuitous display of gore ever could.  Epic.  Just epic!

The narrative during the ship scene was fantastic.

Great opening issue. Good story / good art... what more could I want. Maybe lot's of unanswered questions to keep me guessing.

Looking forward to exploring Trio-earth.

Well... I guess I won't be adding that cover to the old comic collection...

Thanks for the answer!

I'm eager to learn how each member gained his/her powers and came
together as a team, but know that when that tale is told, it will be worth the
wait!
