I guess being paper thin + rips/tears like paper + the nickname "Paper", made me think she might actually be made of paper...
I guessed wrong.

Paper is not "paper thin". A sheet of paper, no matter how thin, has three dimensions. She doesn't.

Wow, she has length and width but no depth?! My brain is already racing to all the unusual places you can take such an unusual power/ability. A truely 2 dimensional object/person. Better not speculate outloud or I could ruin a potential future reveal. This is going to be a fun series!

Nautilus keeps popping in my mind...what a great design! Sure HE can't be the star of the book?

Rock, Scissor and Paper in name only. Instead very sophisticated science experiments? I like!

I've read it three times now, what I love about it is the way it captures a certain era of comics, not really a definable era as such but a wonderful time when good comics entertained us, didn't speak down to us and didn't degrade itself as to appear adult. That rougher stock gave me a real kick too. Great fun, Cheers JB.

I've loaned my copy out to a few peeps and most of them liked it. I'm guessing you'll find it to be a fun read.

How long ago did you have your retailer order the comic? I checked the retailer site on Diamond on the reorders area, and it's in stock currently.

From my first post in this thread:But -- a quick request for this thread: let's keep this strictly about TRIO Number One. There is already a "general discussion" thread for this title. So, folk, wait until you have read the first issue before you comment here!

I got it at the same time as the latest JBNM and frankly I couldn't say which of the 2 I prefered. JBNM may have more depth to it but with trio it was such a pleasant ride with all the pieces I needed in the right place to start. I loved the paper too, please keep it for this series... and I like that we get an "Arab" American hero. Have there been ones before ? The sea scenes were beautiful. Can't wait for #2 !
