That may be the most depressing positive review I have ever read! Seems to give with one hand and immediately take away with the other! (How many variants does the writer use of the word "old"?)

The guys hitting the bank remind me of the Intergang.

Which is awesome.

From that review:

"...lowest common denominator of reader, namely children."

Really?!  What a depressing statement.

THREAD DRIFT ALERT: Just had to delete several posts that belonged in an entirely different thread -- an EXISTING thread, no less!

As I said at the top, please try to keep this thread specific to the first issue of TRIO.

Thanks!

Just want to say that page 10—the one with the whales—is one of my favorite pages you've drawn, JB.

I finally read the first issue...Omigod! This is exactly everything that comics should be. Starting off with the team already established works so well. This could just as easily been issue one or a hundred and one but as a reader I don't feel like I'm missing anything. I feel like I could let my kids read this and not worry about the content being inappropriate.  Great job, Mr. Byrne. I'll be following this title.

I'm happy to have a new, well-crafted superhero comic book I could
share with a student!

The long weekend in Canada has been going great. Wife left to her parents , and I hit my LCS yesterday and finally picked up Hidden Years TPB, Next Men Vol3 TPB and Trio.

Trio was a great read and the art was ,as usual , outstanding. So were the colors. Looking forward to see where this goes.

Just picked this up the other day.  A great read!  While I really enjoyed Nextmen, I like the return to the type of superhero story that this appears to be.  I too dig the paper quality and I like the non-glossy cover.  Characters seem interesting too.  I'm not totally sure about my feelings on Rock's coloring.  Its different, but kinda neat.
