(I'm actually planning a reveal for the 5th issue that should explode some heads.)* * * Just read on one of the other threads that the first run of Trio may now last just four issues. Does that mean we have to wait even longer to have our heads exploded?! •• Yup.

Trio #1 was such a great read, it was so nice to read a comic that actually felt like the sort of comic I grew up reading, plenty of reasons to come back next issue, I sincerely hope this does well because I struggle to find this sort of enjoyment from any other comics and quite frankly I want more. Thanks JB

Okeydokes! My day off=reread!
Once again, I find the art is so good, it's almost distracting!
TRIO is like meeting exciting new friends. town excited to see the people under the masks, and the big man behind the scenes.
I love Byrne-tech, so, there's a win.
Why can't other creators well known for their super hero titles do exactly this?
Because.
(also received my copy of the Namor TPB this weekend, and wow, does TRIO match up perfectly with the tone of a JB Marvel comic.
Best and most curious about TRIO :
Best: the many styles and medias used to make each scene feel real and believable to their singular moments.
Most curious: One's powers!
ALSO: the LETTERING. Having done a quick read thru on Saturday, I found the BOLD italicized letters in each word balooon and caption box helped me get pretty much the WHOLE STORY while just looking at the pretty pictures and literally BLASTING through the issue.....this was great!
Bravo, JB. The seamless transitions from ANGEL and it's special format, to STAR TREK in its special world, to NEXT MEN and it's darker tone, and now CREATING FROM SCRATCH a new world and characters to love is a testament to just what a #%?¥! LEGEND you are!

And the captions reminded me a lot of Stan Lee, which is nice.

Finally got to my shop to pick up a copy today. I forgot to pre-order, but it looks like my store had ordered a good number. (Modern Myths, Northampton MA) After grabbing my two, there were 3-4 left. (I like to have a loaner of JB stuff.) Signed up for the rest of the series.
Loved the world. Felt like I stepped right into a whole reality and was swept along with the story. Loved the paper stock. Matte is where it's AT. I would read a dozen books a month if they were like this.

Was finally able to get to my LCS on Tuesday to pick up a copy of TRIO. Suffice it to say, I loved it. It has everything I've been missing in mainstream superheroes from "the big two" for years and then some. Love the paper. Love the set up. Love the intrigue and questions left dangling like low hanging fruit. Really wonderful stuff, JB. A hearty "welcom back" and "keep 'em coming" with regard to the superhero stories that got me into the medium in the first place.
