Maybe Ditko intended that the big zap of energy Gargan got made his hair fall out? **************** I can see that as being more accurate.

There was a lot of recycling in the early days of Romita's run. His first twenty-odd issues gave us only three new villains, the Rhino, the Shocker and the Kingpin. Four, if you count the second Vulture. ************** I would love to continue on with those characters. Even if you go into the next 20 of Romita's run he only did Man Mountain Marko, Silvermain, Prowler and Kangaroo. We could stop at the Kingpin if you like. Tho, I love the Prowlers look.

Groovy.Mind you, if you plan on working your way thru the Circus of Crime, we still have a way to go before we run out of Ditko characters!

The Circus of Crime is next. Off the top of my head, I think we have 14 Ditko Foes left.

It's a fun series! I think Mysterio is my favorite thus far. For possible consideration there is also the Fox, from Strange Tales Annual 2. That story was drawn by Jack Kirby, with Ditko on inks. It came out the same month as Amazing Spider-Man #4.
