Nice guess, Darren-- and I was going to cherry pick by posting the cover... but if you compare the cover to the stick figures it can't be Action Comics 591. It's similar, but different.

yes Mark, you're right, it is slightly different. I don't own the issue anymore so was just going on memory. It's gonna bug me all day now.

Spectacular Spider-man 17. I really like this issue and reallly like Sal Buscema but it would have been great if JB had pencilled the interiors too.
