The first ROM comic I read was issue 21. I really like the character!

Why? Because ROM was a total BAD ASS!

ROM was a hero that didn't take sh*t from anyone. You see a lot of that kind of character in comics now -- but he felt unique back then.

I had a ROM toy when I was six or seven. Despite that, it took five years and Jim Shooter and the Beyonder to buy the comic:
