I really enjoyed ROM when I was a kid. I read his comic and my stepbrother had the toy -- so I got to play with it a bunch.

I thought it would be fun to start a ROM thread and talk about favorite ROM stories and memories about the character!

ROM has lots of fans here, myself included!

I wouldn´t mind seeing a JB ROM commission!

Unfortunately, I suspect that the fact that the rights to this character belong to a toy company might prevent it.

One of my favorite comics and toys. I followed the comic all the way to the end. The first few issues are some of my favorites.

Wish I could find the toy for a reasonable price.

I especially loved the first issues, which were really paranoid...very much INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS with a cool gleaming exterminating cyborg space knight.

Later, the series took a few turns that I disliked:
- ROM became known and cherished in that small town he operated out of;

- The spectres true aspect was revealed...I much preferred the mysterious look;

- the all-out war on the spectres engulfed the wholed MU...

ROM would make a very cool animated movie. I just wish I knew someone who did that kind of work.

My first ROM was #10 and I fell in love immediately. I even found my first comic shop and bought the previous issues so I could have them all. I stayed until the end.

I didn't pick up the Spaceknights mini because it just didn't' feel right to me. I'd love to get a Sal Buscema ROM commission sometime.

Sal was off the chart in this series! Stupendously vigorous work!

Questions for anyone...

1. Can Marvel publish TPB's of their old ROM issues?

2. Who owns the rights to the character now?

My other favorite memory was when I was a lil African American girl, and Rom used to babysit me...

Dave,

If you keep bitching like that you'll never be a Spaceknight.

Nathan-

1. No.
2.  Rom was created by Parker Brothers, so it would seem that it's owned by Hasbro.
