Doom is probably the most writer-proof character that Marvel has.

And yet some writers still screw it up!

Nathan, thanks for posting one of my favorite Doom pages ever ("Doom needs no one.").  When I read those lines, all I can hear is Terrence Stamp's voice, for some reason!

Nathan - that bit with Doom and the Silver Surfer looks like it came from Spidey Super Stories.  Perhaps this issue? -

I seem to remember in one of those Marvel comics for young readers (not sure if it was SPIDEY SUPER STORIES or one of the newspaper strips) where Doom punished one of his minions for failure...

...By telling him he was fired.
