Kip: Oh, there have been some awful Doom stories--Doctor Doom being taken out by Squirrel Girl is the first one to come to my mind.

Robbie: Is Doctor Doom one of those characters who is writer-proof? No-one ever seems to do anything wrong with the character, he always seems to work, no matter the writer. Is he just one of those characters who can work all of the time?

---

Here's an example...

Wallace: So would seeing him go up against
the Red Skull!

How about on the moon?

Acts of Vengeance really left bad taste in my mouth. Seeing the Punisher outsmart Doom was downright unbelievable.

Robbie: I'd love to see Batman and Robin in Latveria.

That would be cool!

Another bad Doom story was when Luke Cage fought and beat Doom over, I think it was $200. The idea that Cage could batter Doom's armor, where Ben never could was insane.

Doom encountered the Man of Steel himself in the second
Superman/Spider-Man team-up. Best part of the book, IMHO.

Say what you want about the "match-striking incident", I think Dave
Cockrum (inked by Joe Rubenstein) drew an awesome Dr. Doom.

Dr. Doom vs. The Leader hasn't been done to my knowledge.

Lex Luthor, R'as al Ghul, Brother Blood (Wolfman/Perez version),
Kobra and Darkseid would all make cool cross-company villain mT h
ups.

I think Doom confronting Wonder Woman, Batman, the Titans (again,
Wolfman/Perez vintage), the JSA, the Marvel Family or the Legion
would make for fun, interesting stories.
