I may be wrong, but i thought it was just 4 issues and then JB was working on a couple other things before returning for a few more issues. I don't think I'm making that up, so if anyone wants to corroborate my story please do!

I don't know why I thought it would be 6 issues (I guess because everything is 6 issues nowadays), and then there would be hiatus and then a new Trio miniseries.

So, I found out I haven't lost any issues so far. A while ago I asked a friend of a friend in the US (who happens to collect comics) if he could order Trio for me and get them to my friend, who constantly mails me stuff.

I never got back from him, so I bought Trio # 1 online (which cost me a total of 13 dollars!!!) and now I found out he has the first 3 issues with him (and the others on subscription). Excellent!

I'm thinking of having him hand the extra #1 to my buddy's son, who recently made into his 7th year of earthly existence.

13 dollars? That's expensive. DCBS had it for 2.59.

By the way, does anyone know when will we see the next Trio miniseries?

Well, I paid the regular cover price plus shipping of a single comic to Brazil. This friend of mine said he got the first 3 issues for 45% off on cover price, so I should be recovering a bit from the "damage". :-)

TRIO was conceived as an ongoing monthly, but it soon became apparent that my current rate of page production meant I would be able to do little else if I was doing an issue of TRIO every month. So Chris Ryall and I built a new arrangement with IDW, where I will be doing series of miniseries, four issues each, sometimes with stuff I have done before -- more COLD WAR, and/or revisiting the Next Men "universe", and, of course, more TRIO -- and sometimes doing new project that will themselves be revisited if I see the potential.

JB, any prospects of an IDW comic written by yourself and illustrated by another great artist, like Walt Simonson or Sal Buscema, for instance?

Not that I don't want you on the drawing board, it's just that I'd love to see some of those exciting pairings!

I was doing some calculating this morning, and you may have longer to wait for the second TRIO series than I thought. It's in line after the "Mystery Project", FINDERS OF LOST CHILDREN, and COLD WAR -- but that puts it considerably more than a year off!
