I have had troubles to get the first issue. But I will most likely pick it up tonight, and if I am lucky, I will have #2 as well !

Well, no TRIO #2 variant cover for me, since my shop didn't order 10 copies or more.

I still can't get over the paper stock for these books. I've had dreams
that comic books would be printed on paper such as this.

JB, I know you mentioned that Golgotha's appearance doesn't mean a
shared universe with Danger Unlimited. And while I wouldn't want it to
become common place, is there a chance for any of your other
creator owned character to appear?

Yes -- tho I doubt I will exploit it. I just happen to think Golgotha is really, really COOL, so I found a way to import him into TRIO as their Red Skull/Doctor Doom. Will Danger Unlimited or the Torch of Liberty come chasing after him? Probably not!

We've all heard the stories about retailers intentionally slamming or tailgunning books by JB, but this might be the first actual evidence that such a troll works at Diamond.

One of the stores in my area is now owned by somewhat of a Byrne-basher, but he makes sure that I get my copies and he always carries Byrne titles, so he's not a complete tool.

Bummer. I love Danger Unlimited. I remain hopeful that we'll see them
again in some form.

So happy to read this JB!  Golgotha is really cool.  His uniform is a classic.  I'd love to read his origin sometime.

This IDW work reminds me of when we had Babe, Next Men, and Danger Unlimited all coming at us.  Sure hate the idea of a year until the next Trio but that means more Cold War, more Next Men, and more ______.

Trio has that classic feel of a old-time super-hero series but feels new as well (if that makes any sense).  One thing about a Byrne book is the feeling of fresh fun.  I reread them over and over.

These miniseries will only be coming out sequentially?  Maybe JB will put out more than one book at the same time.

I'm looking to do LESS work, not MORE. I like the idea of series of miniseries. Very little in the way of deadline pressures, and I can let ideas for one series "cook" while I work on another.

I just realized that by the end of this month, we will have gotten 8 or 9
books by John Byrne in the first 6 months of this year. That's written,
drawn, inked, and lettered all by you. I wish every artist worked "less"
like you do JB.
