That, JB, is one of many reasons I'd love to see you back at Marvel at some point! :)

It'd be fun someday, but I digging these commissions a lot. The guys I remember plus we're getting all the cool IDW comics from JB too. Kind of the best of all worlds.

MODOK was the first villain I found genuinely scary when I was a kid. Looking back, I realize that the first time I saw him was on a cover by JB.

Love this one. Zola looks so good. Love the Human Torch pose too and Invisible Girl's force bubbles. Congrats to the owner and thanks for showing it off.

By the time JB ended his epic run on Fantastic Four I wasn't even a year old. Still, as luck would have it a few of his issues ended up in my hands at a young age and I was hooked. To this day, when I see his illustrations of these characters it feels right. After Stan and Jack, nobody has ever been able to grasp who these characters are and what they represent like JB. Truth be told, there is a good chance nobody ever will reach the heights JB reached with these characters. Oh, and nobody has ever been able to draw a better MODOK than JB.

Fun to see the villains, but any day that gives us a JB commission featuring the Fantastic Four is a good & welcome day indeed!

Love the expression on MODOK's face as he's pummeled by Sue's forcefield.

The villains being on-model... literally. You could swear it was Jack Kirby.

Another fantastic piece. Love those characters although not too familiar with Dough Boy. Really like Arnim Zola and Reed in this piece. Thanks for sharing.

For a little while I've been trying to dig up some dirt and I'm not sure if my results are correct or not. Besides commissions was the only time that JB drew MODOK in an issue of the INCREDIBLE HULK? Also, did JB only draw Arnim Zola in a back-up of CAPTAIN AMERICA? Again, any information would be greatly appreciated?
