Fantastic commission! For some reason this commission looks bigger than 11x17, way to make everything fit so well

From the description, it seems like way too many characters to fit into a piece this size, you make it look so easy. Fantastic commission, and congrats to the owner!

From the description, it seems like way too many characters to fit into a piece this size, you make it look so easy.•• The figures of the FF are smaller than I would have liked, a condition dictated by MODOK, Zola and Doughboy themselves being larger than "normal". But all things considered, I think it works.

It works on so many levels. It screams fun and exciting. I absolutely love MODOK and Arnim Zola. This is the type of commission that makes me long for new FF from you. I'll have to break out your FF Omnibus to calm me down.

Wow! Some of my favorites here. Zola and MODOK have been top villains to me for a while. Plus, anytime I get to see a new FF by JB it is a good day.
It really is amazing how you laid this out on the 11x17 board, JB. I think that is what I marvel (no pun) at the most is not how well the characters are drawn but how JB figures out how to get it all on there. Really great work.

JB: "Zola is one of those characters where I am compelled to surrender completely to my urge to channel Kirby. This is not a character who lends himself well to a 'realistic' interpretation. (See above)"

I think your Fantastic Four is so strong because of your ability to capture Kirby's world.
I feel the time you spent on FANTASTIC FOUR and FOURTH WORLD are such excellent comic books because you strike just the right balance that Kirby achieved when he created these universes.

I met Zola in an issue of Cap by DeMatteis/Zeck. Maybe I missed the next one, or something, but I could never grasp what this guy was. So, I always have a sense of disconnect when he pops up...

What a FUN and AMAZING commission! These MODAK ones have been fun every time and along with Zola, it just brings it up to a new level. I hadn't heard of Doughboy either, but he has a certain eeriness to him that brings another level to the piece.
I was thinking that a fun crossover would be Superman vs. MODAK and Zola. Superman and Kirby creations seem to have a nice fit, like adding a scoop of ice cream to a piece of pie, perfect.
