Paulo, you do not want to know.  But if you do... plod onward.

During Fear Itself, Juggernaut was deemed one of the worthy and became the avatar of Shamalamadingdong the Sudoku Breaker and went on a death march (jog?) toward San Francisco, which if you are not familiar, is a suburb of Utopia.  The X-Men tried to stop him, but couldn't.  Over and over again.  Apparently, the X-Men aren't familiar with the "I'm the Juggernaut, bitch!" meme.

Anyway, they turn to Illyana, alive again, in custody on Utopia, who teleports Scott, herself and Piotr to Cyttorak World where they convince Cyttorak that Juggernaut has betrayed him by becoming the avatar of the Serpent.  Cyttorak, as you can well imagine, is not having that shit. So he depowers Cain Marko (ZING!) but demands Illyana take on the burden of the Gem of Cyttorak as Juggernaut's replacement.  Piotr, all brotherly and sanctimonious like, objects and demands to be the new avatar of Cyttorak (TWIST!).  He then fights Juggernaut with his newfound power!

And... in the process, they have turned one of the X-Men with the most heart into a complete and utter douche.

The end.

I thought Juggernaut (Marko) was depowered. Or do you mean he fights Cyttorak.

Oops, sorry.  Got myself into some pronoun soup there.  After Marko was depowered by Cyttorak (but still powered by the Serpent's Hammer), the newly Cyttorak-emporered Colossus fights Juggernaut to protect San Francisco and Utopia.  I think Colossus won, but really, who wins in a scenario like this?

Kip, I agree that your Top 10 (comprised of all DC characters) are likely stronger than any Marvel characters.

That really shouldn't have been a fight at all if Marko is depowered. He has no kind of powers without the ones given by the Cyttorak jewel. Colossus would've pounded him to a pulp.

Ok...here's my take. And literally just my take bc I don't read current comics (other than JB). And I'm also going with what in my mind is the "real" version of the character (so mostly mid to late 80s). I've also excluded characters I don't care about / weren't active in my heyday (ie. Supergirl).

Heroes -

  1. Superman
  2. Captain Marvel
  3. Hulk
  4. Thor
  5. Hercules
  6. Juggernaut
  7. Abomination
  8. Sasquatch
  9. Thing
  10. Wonder Man

  1. Namor

Yeah, I thought the same. But Marko was still powered by the Serpent's Hammer.
