Well, this opens up the can of worms about which version of each character we're talking about. If you mean my personal preferred versions of the strongest, in descending order: - Silver Age Giant Man/Goliath
- Silver Age Iron Man
- Silver Age Ben Grimm/The Thing
- Jack Kirby's Hulk
- Underwater Namor the Sub-Mariner
- Silver Age Hercules
- Golden Age Captain Marvel (Shazam)
- Simonson's Thor
- Silver Age Wonder Woman
- Silver Age Superman

Superman Wonder Woman Supergirl Captain Marvel Hulk Hercules Thor Sasquatch Wonder Man Silver Surfer
I kinda think I put them in order of strength. I thin DC guys and girls are far stronger than Marvel guys. Unlike previous posters, I didn't include people like Namor or Iron-Man who get really strong under certain circumstances.

How physically strong was Marvel's original/red costume Captain Marvel supposed to be?
As for Marvel, Hulk should always be the strongest one there is, closely followed by Thor and Thing, I guess Gladiator is up there too, then down a level to a few others,. She-Hulk, Hercules, Colossus (maybe)... Iron Man at full power is supposed to be very strong, but I don't think he should be in the same league personally. He's got enough 'powers' that he doesn't need to be top level in strength too.

If we include past versions: Silver Age Superman Silver Age Supergirl Silver/Golden Age Captain Marvel, Mary Marvel and Captain Marvel Jr. Precrisis Mon-el Earth-Prime Superboy Earth-2 Superman Precrisis Power Girl Precrisis Wonder Woman
Added comment: when we include a time when DC characters of the 60s/early 70s who could move planets, really no Marvel hero character is going to show up in top 20. True, not all of these guys moved planets, but they are all in D's top category with the guys who did move planets.

Since I can't list them together, my Marvel list would be:
Hulk Thor Hercules Gladiator Blue Marvel Wonder Man Sasquatch Colossus (now with the added power of Juggernaut) Hyperion (Squadron Supreme) She-hulk
I know I am forgetting someone and should Drax the Destroyer, dumb version be there since he isn't that anymore? Or Gilgamesh, who I think is dead, or Lost Generation's heroes? These lists can drive you crazy.
