Years ago, I studied McFarlane's HULK run after seeing a number of familiar panels, and found tons of JB swipes.

Superman #8 with TRIO.

The FF #249 cover and Superman #8 cover both featured the "Fantastic Four" vs "Superman"... not sure if TRIO will ever have that same dynamic to play...

I'm hoping for another FF #1 homage... haven't seen one since Hidden Years.

   Was looking at pencils,Doom Patrol Pg. 21,and the perstective lends itself to the defeated-over-head-with-one-arm ideas.Complete with the understandibly undipicted left arm.

Looks like Layton's inks to me, particularly the shiny effect similar to how he inked it on Iron Man's armor.

Doesn't seem like Layton should have traced JB's work tho... doesn't seem right...
