Superman's spine is completely snapped in the top cover Nathan posted.

This thread, other than the obvious, seems like a history of comics.WWWW & How VS Why?.Concepts are re-visited but unique twists and interpritations scrutinized to much should be seen with an newer eye.Everything old is new again, many times to new creators with similar foundations.

With Keith Giffen, I'll let anything slide, even if it's a swipe/copy/whatever.  But that's just me and I'm a huge fan of his, regardless of whatever the original subject matter.

In Giffen's case, you would have to forgive him his swipes, copies, and whatevers if you wished to remain a fan.

The flagrant degree to which he lifted material from Jose Munoz's & Carlos Sampayo's "Alack Sinner" during his Ambush Bug phase bordered on the criminal. At the very least, accepting payment for essentially tracing panels and replicating entire continuities from another person's artwork demonstrates a distinct lack of character.

Those swipes Nathan posted are extremely embarrassing as I see it.  Swiping from such a recent comic (at the time) and from the very same title!!!  Who would ever notice?????

Nathan, I'm actually hoping JB does a third cover like the FF #249 and
Superman #8 with TRIO.
