"...And why do witches burn?"

"B'cause... they're made of... wood?"

There's something about the pose that screamed "Kirby!" at me. I think it might have been reminiscent of an interior panel in a Kirby comic, like New Gods or Fantastic Four. But it certainly isn't the JB covers.

Neither a homage nor a copy, in my opinion. Just a similar pose.

Nothing at all like that THOR cover. (Perhaps the poster was being "funny"?)

I know. I'm just not a fan of referring to the Monster as "Frankenstein."

Wouldn't the Monster have the same last name as his "father" ?

That's how I played it in the ANGEL specials that featured the Monster.

He's the Star of Frankenstein Agent of S.H.A.D.E. which is crossing over O.M.A.C. this month.

DC "reinvents" itself with 52 hits on the consumers' wallets, and then launches into crossovers?

I wonder if they would even recognize an original idea, if one happened to accidentally stumble into their offices?

I'm a little late to the thread, but believe it is likely that the OMAC cover just happens to be a similar pose.

I don't know. I don't remember that being an aspect of the book, but it's been a while since I've read it, so I can't be sure.

Anyway, just a minor pet peeve of mine; don't want to further derail this thread.

It's not, at least not explicitly. But it certainly makes sense that the Creature would think of Victor Frankenstein as his "father".

I would say the cover was inspired by more than anything.
