Why would anyone want a Bob Layton X-Men 141 commission??
It redone as Iron Man armor wars. With stingray, beetle, etc. on the wanted poster.

It's such a brilliant and iconic cover that can be used in different ways. I'm sure a lot of commissions are reqested using variants of it. I remember the first time I saw it, my heart skipped a beat.

That Alter Ego cover is really weird! Batman, Superman and Aquaman just standing around in the background is distracting and makes the piece seem ridiculous.

Yeah, Superman should be where J'onn is.

Or just leave him out altogether! Very odd.

I guess they're going for the original JLA vs. original FF, but yeah, the positions are odd. The Flash would be slowed down by ropes for about 1/100th of a second. If they really wanted to do a parody and used other JLAers, they could have the Elongated Man in the Mr. Fantastic spot and Firestorm flying in the Johnny position.
BTW, I enjoyed the artful Concrete homage with rolls and spaghetti for the Thing and Mr. Fantastic.

Agreed, Rick! The CONCRETE cover is actually quite clever, rather than simply dropping in characters in place of the F.F. But all of the other covers are still fun to look at... good stuff!

I dig the FRANKENSTEIN JR. and THE IMPOSSIBLES cover.

That cover could also have had Wonder Woman entangled in her Lasso of Truth. And, on second thought, I'd switch Superman with Green Lantern. Or just not have Green Lantern.
