I saw this image of the new OMAC online and thought it looked familiar. I don't see any "afterByrne" credit.

I don't see a reason for an "After Byrne" credit.

It was probably inspired by the bottom cover(s) but many of the elements have been changed, so I don't think it can be called a copy. There's no "after" credit but it doesn't seem as if the artist signed the work either.

Yeah, a "Thanks, JB" would be more appropriate since the artist probably was inspired by the FF cover, but the image is different enough to be considered original, imo.

Could they possibly include a few more blurbs, credits and logos on that OMAC cover? There was *almost* enough room for original art to creep in there.

This is a case of passing resemblance, not homage and definitely not a copy.

I sense another thread brewing where we see Cyclops holding a dead Dark Phoenix compared to a million other covers with similar images...

If I were looking for an inspiration for that image, I would probably have picked this one:

Not a copy. Not a homage. But an inspired by to be sure.
