My ONLY problem with Black Canary is she ruined Johnny Thunder's JSA/comic book career... but she's hot... so I guess it's ok...

…not sure why the costume was changed…•• Simplest of simple reasons: a publisher who didn't like fishnets. --- ??? Who DOESN'T like fishnets???

Never liked the "canary cry," but always liked the character and the fishnets costume.

Nathan: ...one of the BEST costume designs EVER imho.
====
I was thinking the same thing. Always been my favorite design for a superheroine. Pretty darn sexy too!
JB, what a treat and she's picture perfect. I love everything from the shading on her tongue to the sheen on her boots. My favorite is her collar bones. So many artists seem to get that wrong with that pose. They either angle them too much or not enough. Also nice to see her breasts hang properly while leaning over that way. It's another mistake a lot of artists make.

What stands out for me are the foreshortened legs- which are perfectly proportioned. That is such a difficult angle to draw, especially of women's legs!

Who DOESN'T like fishnets???•• It's a generational thing, mostly. Fishnets went thru a fairly prolonged period of being associated with -- ahem -- ladies of the evening. Good girls didn't wear fishnets.

That explains Zatanna's costume, too.
