In defense of that animated Darkseid design:

That look for Darkseid was in the series finale episode when he was 'merged' with Brainiac. In the rest of the animated series he was in standard black tunic and boots.

At least the JLU redesign of Darkseid has a Kirby-esque motif going for it.

Thanks for mentioning that. I knew, vaguely, there being a story reason for it, but forgot what it was. I believe it was in the last two episodes of the series, though.

Darkseid merging with Brainiac sounds like Michelangelo merging with Rob Liefeld -- ie, what's the point?

Yeah, that's unpleasant.

JB, do you get many commission requests for Darkseid (or Terrax)?  (Those two would have made a pretty sweet Amalgam character).
