Spider-Man, Hawkeye, Union Jack, Guardian.

(And while not really costumes, I love the look/designs of The Thing and Sasquatch.)

Batman with yellow oval & blue cape.  Spider-Man's Iron Spider costume.  Iron Man's Extremis Armor, Wolverine orange & brown, Wolverine in X-Force, Cable, Spider-Woman, Jean Grey & Storm c. UXM 281, Tim Drake Robin's One Year Later all red costume (I custom made that for Halloween a few years back, and lemme tell you, a 33 year old man dressed as Tim Drake is something to behold). Spider-Man Noir costume, Dr. Doom in the Future Foundation white/black looks pretty nifty, Jason Todd's Red Hood (Winick Iteration), Kate Kane's black and red Batoman, the Hulkbuster armor, Anti-Venom.  Ok, this is too long.

A lot of Dave Cockrum stuff - Nightcrawler, Storm, Colossus, Phoenix and all of his Legion costumes is what comes to mind.

Superman- It doesn't get more classic than that.
Batman- I waffle between the yellow oval version and the pre Final
Crisis version. Both are great design.
Captain America- I don't think a better patriotic outfit exists.
Hawkeye- No justification, I just think he looks cool.

  • Superman - like Stephen says, it doesn't get more classic. Needless to say, the recent redesign excluded.
  • Spider-Man - the very definition of cool
  • Batman
  • Green Lantern (Hal)
  • Flash (Barry)
  • Mr Miracle - of all the great Kirby 4th World designs, this is my favourite

I really like the designs from the late 1950's/60's and early 1970s for -

the Atom
the Flash
Green Lantern
Adam Warlock (lightning bolt version)
Captain Mar-Vell (both green & white and black & red versions)
Spider-Man (red & black)
Daredevil (red)
Iron Man (traditional red & gold)
the Punisher
Spider-Woman
the Fantastic Four
Doctor Doom
the Black Widow (classic look)
X-Men (original school uniforms)
Black Bolt
the Vision
Goliath (blue & gold)
the Angel (black & white with halo)
Yellowjacket (with goggles)
Quicksilver (silver version)

Most of these were by Gil Kane, Jack Kirby, Steve Ditko, John Buscema or John Romita.

70's Don Newton Captain Marvel(or "Shazam" as he was called in the 70's)
Silver Age Hal Jordan Green Lantern
Barry Allen Flash
Ray Palmer Atom
Superman up unto the recent version.
Supergirl (version with the mini-skirt and headband and high boots).
Neal Adams Batman
Kirby Thor
Byrne Wonder Man(from Avengers West Coast)
Dr. Doom
Dr. Strange
Kirby Odin
The Watchers
The Stranger
Silver Surfer(though he is not wearing a costume)
Thanos (though I'm not a fan of the extended shoulder flaps)
Kirby Lord Pluto(or Hades)
Galactus
Krona
Guardians of the Universe
