I was re-reading my old Next Men issues last night, and there was a Flame About This High essay (reprinted in the Parallel trade) that talked about how JB was accused of copying an old Doctor Who episode in the past. Strange and ironic that this would recur in the context of JBNM. I hope those old accusations aren't playing a role here...

I have dozens of them. My brother once told me that if I was going to sit on a story for 15 years, someone else was going to tell it for me.

Mr. Byrne, you're probably not looking for advice but if the story means a lot to you, I think you've likely earned enough equity with your fans that you can safely publish the story without anyone crying plagiarism.
