Bad news and good news indeed. AFTERMATH will be great, but I'm glad to hear about the new project being closer. The world needs good superhero comics now.

And here I was hoping for an 11 issue run to make it to "Next Men #50..."

More than a little bummed the series is getting truncated, especially when it's because of concerns about Internet weenies and unfair comparisons to a series I don't even watch but you gotta do whatcha gotta do and I'll take what I can get. :-)

I just want lots and lots of JB comics.  Whatever you want to do, Mr. Byrne, is fine with me!

Generic question about the future superhero book:

Is it going to be a "classic" superhero book (ala old style Marvel) or is it going to be a "realistic" superhero book (ala the majority of books since the 1990's)?

(or have you even decided yet?)

DITTO!

Shame about the Who overlap.  I'm reminded of a frustrating conversation that I had with a co-worker, back when the first FF movie came out.  "They're just ripping off The Incredibles!", he said.  <sigh>  The same thing will happen if Larry Niven ever gets a Ringworld movie made.  "They're just ripping off Halo!" will come the cry.  <sigh>

Anyway, best of luck on all your future projects, JB.  I'll be in the front row, as always.

Let's save all the questions and speculations until we are closer to the release date -- which, by the way, has not even been scheduled yet. Even with this shift it's still almost a year away.

Willing to wait and trust that once read, it'll all make sense.  Revised story or not.  Looking forward to both books.

JB,

Does the thing we talked about when I visited you still fit in the story? I hope so

••

Yup. That's the sub-plot that is being moved to the fore.

---

Wow! Really??? :D

I'm excited to hear that!
