GO- "Shouldn't that have read "horrible to contemplate"?

JB- "Why?"

****************************************************

Well, I always thought "comprehend" didn't sound right, and I always wondered if it was a lettering error.

No offence was meant to JB or Roger Stern. I was just curious.

Two startling images by the underrated Herb Trimpe and Dick Ayers, with the great John Severin inking.

By the way, most of my scans courtesy of http://www.supermegamonkey.net/chronocomic/

Incredible shot of an attacking villain.

When I first read FF 13, that panel had a double effect on me. It blew my tiny mind, of course, but it also left me feeling totally discouraged, as I could not imagine a day would ever come when I would be able to draw something even half as amazing.

And mumbledy mumble years later I have this piece in my collection:

My copy is filed away, but I believe it was in Avengers 148. Hyperion just spouted all of his powers and abilities and in a great Perez panel, the Vision plunges his arm into Hyperion's chest and drops him.

Oh yeah! And I learned the Scarlet Witch was his wife!! My first issue of Avengers and a life-long Vision fan was born!

If you've never seen the masterful art of Pablo Marcos on this series, you simply must:

From Omac Book one.  How can you not be drawn into the story with a splash page like that?
