Love the Byrne panels, obviously, but those Kirby panels...

OH MY GOD!?!

Those pictures are worth a million words!

I can't stand MJ myself, but there's no question this is a great panel and reveal:

The greatest Hulk/Thing fight panel, for me. This encapsulates Marvel Comics and how they made me feel when I was a kid reading the reprint in MARVEL'S GREATEST COMICS. And they were.

The summation of where Marvel might have started going wrong. Peter "growing up" in actuality and not just in persona.

From CAP 104, my favorite single issue of the Star-Spangled One.

Kirby tech.

I never forgot this Marie Severin panel and story. Completely informed my opinion on the High Evolutionary.

Unadulterated Colan Silver Age craziness.

I have a question for JB regarding that great Stern/Byrne sequence in which Cap decapitates Baron Blood.

When a silhouetted Cap is drawing back his shield to do the deed, the panel caption reads "The deed is horrible to comprehend."

I've always wondered... shouldn't that have read "horrible to contemplate"?
