This Simonson panel blew my mind when I first saw it.

A change of pace from the Adams influenced look that dominated the Batbooks since the late 60s

Short ears on Batman!!!!? GASP!!!!

Gil Kane and John Romita, Sr., from Amazing #122. Still feel sad for this scene even after so many years.

Had to do a little house cleaning in this thread this morning.

Let's remember, shall we, that the subject here is favorite PANELS, not PAGES, and certainly not entire, multiple page SEQUENCES!

There is a great panel, but I have it only in Swedish. It's that Superman written and drawn by JB and and it's a holographic spirit world and a robot tears his guts open, because ihe is obsessed by a spirit and the spirit says "The same destiny will come tou youuuuu!". I don't what it really says in English, I'm just guessing, but it should be something like that.

""AARRRGH!" is my own response when I look at that art!!!"

**

You may cringe to see that old stuff JB, but even then the
dynamism and potential on display there is pretty obvious
to see. Glad you kept practicing and stayed at this whole
drawing thing!

Whoops, it was hard to choose among the panels from Peter Parker #98, by JR Jr. That issue features my favorite sequence ever, where every panel was... wow. But, if I should choose one... well, that would be this:

For the complete sequence: http://goodcomics.comicbookresources.com/2011/07/31/drawing- crazy-patterns-spider-man-lifting-heavy-objects/

Edited to add: JR Jr. ROCKS. Hope to see him again on Spider-Man after he left Avengers.

On the Man of Steel # 1 final page -- I love the tiny figure in the barn.  Is that supposed to be Lana?

That JRjr sequence, while great, is just a callback to a much cooler Steve Ditko Spider-Man sequence with a few excellent panels in its own right. Don't have the images to post.

Steven: nope, Lana wasn't there when Clark first wore his costume.

Knut: of course the Ditko sequence is a true classic, maybe the best example of the Ditko/randian philosophy on Spider-Man... and a lot of artist and writers homahed it. But the JrJr. one... well, that was the remake I felt MINE!
