I would really like to see the Stern/Byrne team do an Aquaman book, portraying him as they did in their JLA Classified arc of some years back.

That, Ron, would be amazing. That JLA arc was my favorite portrayal of Aquaman ever.

I kind of liked The Fin. I gather there weren't many golden age Fin stories but he still seemed kind of cool to me.

Bill Everett returned to the theme of water-based heroes  a few times over the course of his long career. Along with the Sub-Mariner and the Fin, there was also Hydroman, who could turn himself into water.

Unfortunately, in the well-entrenched fanboy world where every, simply everyone, who is hipper than the room knows, just knows, that Aquaman is a complete lame-oid, such characters are left to rust.

I much prefer Namor to Aquaman, but I still say that Aquaman is an awesome character, when properly done.  Trouble is, I can't remember the last time that happened.
