I'm from the deep South Wallace, but I still didn't get it.

I hear you. I'm in NC. I've presented the same words and letters to middle
schoolers (and high schoolers years ago), and many of them were able to
figure it out without any help from me.

I got the puzzle Wallace wrote pretty quickly. I don't know what that says about me, or the area I am from. Heh.

Reminds me of a Two Ronnies' sketch:

This whole thing suits my goofy sense of humor.  I love puns and such...at one Trek site, my handle was "Anne Dorian".  :)

Sorry, haven't looked at this thread for a while.

Bill asked:
James,i`ve tried,but i just don`t get Form Road,can you explain?

When someone new arrives at the youth club we need to collect their address details for monitoring / health and safety etc. The kids don't want to give these out (To be fair, it is usually the ones you know there will be an incident with) so, as I am filling in a form, their address becomes - Form Road.

Now, me being an adult, knows that there is no Form Road in the town and also know that this is the sort of thing that has been going on for a long time so just refuse entry until I get a sensible address.

My older brother (RIP) showed me this one:

He would just write the letters down

"C D E D B D ducks"

Obviously the same one that other folks have posted, just ducks instead of feet.  I just wanted to post mine as it brings back great memories of my bro.

I think some of you might have gotten the idea that Tony Midyett was taking a nasty shot at Wallace but I don't think that was his intent.

Tony's 'sofa king' bit is a pretty common example of phonetic 'disguise' often used in phone pranks or in dumb radio gags that supposedly get around the FCC regulations.

That particular one made it onto an episode of Aqua Teen Hunger Force. (Super Mega Ultra Chicken).

I think Tony just intended to pass along one that he knew and was not trying to come off as hostile and unfriendly.
