I'm happy with my Visionaries collection, Thanks!
====

Don't get me wrong Juan. I have all of the Visionaries trades of JB's
Fantastic Four run. They are colored with respect given to the original
issues, and I read them regularly. They're just really bright.
In any case, I'm sure I'll be picking up the omnibuses as well, as I
have a sickness when it comes to collecting JB's work. At least my
sickness comes with good taste in comics.

I am worried about the coloring on this - Marvel has treated the JB re-issues without much care.  At best it's incompetence, at worst it's a way to try to get revenge for JB's public comments.  Either way, it's the readers who pay for a lousy job.

I'd get this anyway, but I'm hoping it makes up for the awful reproductions on the third visionary trade. I can barely force myself to crack that one open.

Apart from the color reproduction, I'm interested in the possible added extras included in the Omnibus. Anybody knows about them?

I'll be buying two copies.  One for myself and one on which I'll mark "how to" and send to Marvel.

Manuel, I have the two Kirby/Lee FF omnibuses and the Silver Surfer
one. I don't recall any real extras to speak in those. So, unless Marvel
has started doing it recently, I wouldn't expect to see any. I have been
pleased with the ones I have though.

The Simonson Thor Omnibus has a ton of "extras." Intro to previous collected editions, pin-ups, commissions, character designs, etc.

The Lee Kirby FF vol2 has the original letters pages which are interseting.

Just wondering-

Why did Simonson's Thor omnibus get the "bonus" color job? I imagine that's extra cost for Marvel...

As a general rule of thumb, all the Classic Omniboo have the letters in them. I'm re-reading my FF Vol 1 at the moment and every other issue has a letter from a future comics writer or artist. As well as several future famous people.

I think that Omnibus recollecting more classic "old" stories include the letters pages but I've seen that Omnibus recollecting more modern stories includes sketchs, pencils, unused art,... as it happens with the Secret Wars I Omnibus.

++++++++++++++++++++

Not sure.  I think it was Steve Oliff, the colorist.  Walt was surprised that it was being recolored, if I recall.
