Looks like a sharp collection.  I'm glad they have (seemingly) resisted offering a Deadpool variant cover painted by Alex Ross.

I'm looking forward to this collection--even though I have the original
comics and the FF Visionaries TPBs!

I would had never believed in my whole life to see a reprint of the ASM run by JB and Mackie.

You know, "worst Spider-Man ever", "they ruined the character", "how dare they to destroy Spider-Man's evolution", and all of that Internet nonsense.

I'm not going to pick up that, already owning it in both the American and Italian editions, but I'm so glad to see the last Spider-Man I enjoyed (before BND) is going to be reprinted.

They are. Not as massive as a DC Absolute Edition, but a bit larger than standard comic sized.

JB: A lot of time and effort went into the recoloring of Walter's THOR.
I doubt the same will happen with my FF.

===JB, It would be my guess that the colors will be close to what is in
the Visionaries trades which I find to be a bit hit or miss.

I've come to realize that the style of coloring used on comics in the
eighties just doesn't work well with the glossy stock the Marvel trades
and omnibuses use, as a rule. I really wish they'd use the same paper
stock DC uses for there omnibuses.

Then again, I'd be happy to see glossy stock comics of any type just
go away.

This one and the Thor omnibus by Simonson are both on my "must have" list, even though I have the originals and the trades for both already.

These were the two best series Marvel put out in the '80s IMO.

I have the Thor Omnibi (Walt's and Stan and Jack's) sitting next to me. I really need to crack them open and start reading. But I'm just screwing around on the internet trying not to do my weekly paperwork. Priorities! I need them.

I am going back and forth between the Omnibus and the Visionaries collections on this one.  I have the Thor Omnibus and it is outstanding. If Marvel has put the same kind of efforts in, that is the product that will get my money. Otherwise the Visionaries were next on my collection block once I finish the PAD Hulk Visionaries.

Does anyone know at what point the recoloring was announced for the Simonson Thor Omnibus? I was aware of the work before it came out, but I can't remember if it was part of the initial announcement .
