Man, it's supposed to be here tomorrow. I like the cover Thomas showed, but I don't mind which one I get, just looking forward to it getting here!

Just got mine in the mail yesterday from Amazon ($59.99 from the pre-order...NICE). It looks great. I've changed my mind and now really like that they included JB's first FF issues as artist only. I still wish it had gotten a nice recoloring treatment like Walt's Thor Omnibus (too many pink and yellow buildings for my taste in some of the issues), but that's a small things.

I really don't need this but each day, piece by piece, my resolve is crumbling.

I didn't know there were two covers when I bought it off Amazon. Since "Terror in a Tiny Town" is one of my favorites, I am hoping for that cover.

I know you guys can pick and choose (or not) which covers you get, but don't forget no matter which cover you get, there are pages inside with the art from the other covers. So you can still own all the pretty pictures, they just aren't on the outside!

I own all of the individual issues, but my resolve (like Richard's) is crumbling.

For those concerned about the supposedly missing page from issue #242 or any reproduction issues with issues #255-257, I don't think there are any problems. I compared the scans of the FF issues from the "44 Years of Fantastic Four" DVD collection to what is in the Omnibus. Nothing appears to be missing or of dubious quality. I think the "missing page" was inserted into the "Trial of Galactus" TPB for story flow. It was not originally in issue #242.

Thanks for the clarification, Charles--won't be getting my copy for a few more days, so that's good to know. (Also picked up the first Spider-Man Omnibus yesterday, still in the shrink wrap. Must resist urge to plunk down a small fortune for the second Lee-Kirby FF....)

Does this appear to use the same sources as the Visionary books? Unless I happen to like the bigger pages and presumably letters (which appear in most silver-age omnibii; are they here?), it sounds like I don't need to buy this. Is this correct?

Just received my copy yesterday. It's a nice book (and includes Marvel Team-Up # 61 -- which was possibly my first John Byrne comic!). The FF when they were the FF.

Is this correct? ========================== I think there is only one letters page published, and it is the one that tells you who the characters on the cover are. If the bigger pages don't draw you in, then you are probably fine sticking with the Visionaries volumes. I have both the Omnibus and the Visionaries, but I am giving the Visionaries copies to my kids.

Wow. Just arrived a few minutes ago and after a quick look, glad I picked up. I noticed a few muddy pages, but over all I'm very happy to have 1000 pages of JB FF goodness.
