Speaking of Amazon, they are still offering the collection of MARVEL TEAM-UP stories Chris and I did. Am I remembering correctly that this does NOT have the Red Sonja story in it?

JB, if you're referring to the Essentials Marvel Team-Up volume 3, which has your and CC's work from #59-#70, then, no, the Red Sonja story is not included.

Not meaning to start a riot but check out who the book depository here in the UK credits with being the author on the FF Omnibus.... http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/Fantastic-Four-Omnibus-v-1-C hris-Claremont/9780785158240 You dont even have to access the link.... In the words of the great Alan Partridge...."this country!".....

Amazon also has Chris listed as ONE of the "authors" in this book. I cannot imagine what for. Surely this volume does not reach all the way to the return of Jean Grey, that Shooter had Chris rewrite, in order to "punish" me for agreeing to do Superman? As far as I can recollect, that's the only time Chris and I intersected on FF.(Or is this including the X-MEN issue where Lillandra reads the riot act to Reed and Sue, for saving Galactus?)

Claremont is credited because MARVEL TEAM UP #61-62 are included. Marvel considers that JB's first FF story. The issues are featured in the JB FANTASTIC FOUR VISIONARIES VOLUME #0 trade paperback.

But the Omnibus does feature the Jean Grey story "Like a Phoenix" (FF#286), but Claremont was not credited on the story. Is that the story he did dialogue for?

Didnt know that about issue 286...but dont get me started on John's departure from FF.... But aside from that, you dont put a person with a supporting role ahead of the main man.....Saturday Night Fever wasnt creditted as being Fran Drescher featuring oh yeah...whats his name John Travolta...(sorry cant think of a better example)....

I got an email from Amazon today saying the FF Omnibus will be shipping around November 11th. I can't wait. I do own all the Visionaries books but this was too good to pass up. The THOR Omnibus is really great too.

But aside from that, you dont put a person with a supporting role ahead of the main man....•• A decade or so back, DC ran a house ad listing the people they had working for them who were "big names" at the time. It was an alphabetical listing, but my name was after Chris'. It seems that for people of a certain "generation" "Claremont and Byrne" is one word. There's also an odd habit some have of listing writers ahead of artists -- even in the case of writer/artists. In the minds of some, it seems, writer/artists aren't "real" writers.

Fair enough John. I was more than a little frustrated with the lack of attention to detail in the credits with you cited as "illustrator".

This first omnibus volume does not go all the way to 286! That would make volume 2 pretty small! Included in volume 1 are: MARVEL TEAM-UP (1972) #61-62; MARVEL TWO-IN-ONE #50; FANTASTIC FOUR (1961) #215-218, #220-221, #232-262 and ANNUAL #17; PETER PARKER, THE SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN (1976) #42; AVENGERS (1963) #233; THING (1983) #2; and ALPHA FLIGHT (1983) #4
