I just saw a listing in Marvel's July solicitations (at www.comicbookresources) for FANTASTIC FOUR BY JOHN BYRNE OMNIBUS VOL. 1 HC.
I'm curious as to whether this is getting a recoloring, such as what was done with Walt Simonson's Thor Omnibus, which was awesome.

A lot of time and effort went into the recoloring of Walter's THOR. I doubt the same will happen with my FF.

JB- My buddy Andy and I were able to see a big batch of your original FF pages over the weekend.

Just blown away by the composition, storytelling  and inking techniques.

so very very very pretty....  :)

Had been waiting on this a long while so glad to see it finally turn up in the solicitations. Wasn't expecting to see a Spider-Man Chapter One TPB at the same time though!

Exciting news I think. I picked up that Simonson Thor Omnibus and it's great. I look forward to JB's FF Omnibus.

Off topic, but I was also interested to note this Byrne item in the new Marvel solicitations.

SPIDER-MAN: THE NEXT CHAPTER VOL. 1 TPB

Penciled by JOHN BYRNE, JOHN ROMITA JR., ANDY SMITH, JOHN BUSCEMA & BART SEARS

Peter Parker thought he’d given up a life as Spider-Man, but he keeps getting pulled back in! With threats like the Kingpin, Bullseye, Dr. Octopus, Shadrac, the Scorpion, the Frightful Four, Marrow and Tokkots coming at him from every angle, it’s a good thing Spider-Man has friends like the X-Men, the Fantastic Four, Madame Web, Thor and Man-Thing at his side! Plus: the debuts of not one, but two new Spider-Women! And one of them is not so nice. Funny how 10+ year old books that "nobody" likes are getting trade collections.

I still haven't read the entire run, definitely getting this omnibus!

Really looking forward to reading this run finally! Hopefully, within the next couple of years we get the final Lee/Kirby and the second Byrne volume. I could handle one of those per year for the next two years, with the Avengers next year, a third Iron Man the year after, and hopefully the first volume of the Lee/Romita Sr. Amazing Spider-Man for the film next year.

Heck, where's my second volume of the Uncanny X-Men completing JB's run on that?

It would be nice if the Omnibus had the look and feel of the Jack Kirby FOURTH WORLD collections over at DC.

More to the point: IDW is doing a Walt Simonson THOR book based on his original artwork.

Any chance to see something similar from one of your runs, JB?
