No, I'm afraid your mind reading act has failed Kevin.
I really so hate that logo. I think it totally sucks. It's pointy, thin, dull green, and has nothing to relate it to bats. It stinks. It's boring. What's with the staggered "z" shaped in the cross strokes of the "A's" supposed to represent? What the hell does it have to do with bats or Batwoman?
It looks like the sort of quickie g-code engraving people do at the last minute for their early course project in a CNC class.

And the 'real' new DCnU will come about after this in 2013
I have a feeling, DC will take a 'wait and see' attitude. If the relaunch tanks, they'll spin it as 'it was always supposed to be temporary' and have the 'old' universe return dramatically; if the books sell, they'll pat themselves on the back for 'saving the industry'.
Regardless, I agree that many of the titles seem half-baked; I think alot more planning and thought should've gone into this process, to ensure better odds for success.

Kids will have the right to eat one of the arms while Two-Face eats the rest.

I'm genuinely excited about the DC reboot. The problem, though, is that I'm 40. The reboot shouldn't be aimed at me. My kids are 5 and 3 and I wouldn't buy any of the 52 new comics for them.
I'm also disappointed that DC hasn't taken this opportunity to change the look or feel of the books. There isn't much about the new line of comics which looks fun. The covers look somber (although beautiful) and the stories sound far too introspective. I'm all for an occasional story where the lead character muses about his/her motivation, but that's all we've gotten since Dark Knight/Watchmen.
I want fun covers and fun stories, balanced with the occasional brooding story. I'm tired of characters "dying" and then returning. (Curse you, JB, for the Death of Phoenix. Really.) I'm tired of six part stories in which the characters just talk for 2/3 of the story. I'm tired of "flawed characters" whose "flaws" become the dominant part of their character. I'm tired of Green Lantern quitting or being fired every few years.
How about characters who are just good people? Characters who don't constantly mope? Confident characters, with good values and morals. Let them play off of the evil villains to give them depth. Let's have them be HEROES again!

'younger, brasher, and more brooding' (from the description of the new Superman books)
I understand the goal of appealling to a younger demographic, but I miss when heroes didn't need to be brash or brood so much!

I like him to be Superman not Superboy.

What the hell. Seriously... I just ordered around 20 DC books for September. I was in the shop, I went through Previews, and I just started listing stuff to my friend behind the counter.
We'll see. We'll see.

I'll stick with Hawk and Dove for now (but it will be dependent on what issue #1 looks like). I'm still in with the Legion, since the reboot doesn't appear to be affecting these books. It seems that DC is letting Neal Adams finish the Batman Odyssey with new numbering. Whatever. Superman, which I was thinking about with Perez, is now out. I'm not even bothering. Justice League... forget it. Nothing else interests me. And to make things even more confusing, let's continue to issue trades for books that either no longer exist or that are not in any logical continuity.

Two-Face is so big so his new name in the new 52 is Three-Face. *** Perhaps you've seen the Robot Chicken sketch where he also becomes Four-Face.
