Gotcha, Brad. I usually keep myself out of the loop when it comes to advance solicitations. I see what they are and read no further. I still like to be surprised when I pick up a comic. But having one in the past makes more sense costume wise. Tho not in the fact that it is looking for new readers.

Looking at that "iconic" cover shot, I have a hard time deciding what's worse; the new armour costume or this NON-costume. Seriously, jeans and a t-shirt? Is this what we've come to?

Ugh. The rest of the Super-Books have been solicited too. I'm just done. The guys I grew up with are gone and that's fine. I have a ton of back-issue and trades to dig up when I get the urge.
I know judging a book by it's cover is probably not the best thing to do, but every announcement and costume design has left such a bad taste in my mouth. That's fine, maybe it is time to move on, but it's not because I've outgrown comics, they have outgrown me buy the higher ups who are over-thinking the shit out of these concepts. I really hope it's a raging success they crave and it creates new fans. I'm just not one of them.
Thank goodness I have more JB goodness to look forward to with Next Men Aftermath and Cold War. My checkbook is going to be happy too I guess.

Changing Superman's costume was not very popular in the past. Matt, do you have to pay to get an end "card" advertising your store in the movie theatres? In my opinion DC should pay for it and everyvbody who owns a store in the neighborhood should get a free pass.

Yep, they're sure making it easier for new readers! That's so much better of an explanation than "We're keeping Action and Detective at their current issue numbers because of the history!"

Batman's not even being rebooted and they're still resetting Detective for some reason.

Green Arrow's "negative beard" (mutton chops instead of goatee) is pretty hilarious. The Swamp Thing and Animal Man stories both sound like direct retreads of the "revelatory" alternate origins that Moore and Delano, (respectively) wrote for those characters. I guess the same thing happens every time they reboot Batman or Superman, but it seems even more pointless when such obscure characters are involved.
