...Zatanna causes all gunpowder on planet Earth to no longer ignite, etc.

---

One of the reasons I'm not huge fan of magic-wielding characters like
Zatanna is that it's difficult for me to get a handle on the full extent of their
powers. What are Zatanna's limits? Can she just say "All of my foes fall
asleep!" (backwards) as soon as she spots the bad guys and be done with it?

Been away for a few days so I'm just seeing the new designs.

My only comment..."Trunks on superheroes!? Ugh, that's SO 2010!I'm
hoping this design is to keep legal happy until the Superman rights are
resolved.

I have to come clean and admit I was actually curious enough to step foot inside an LCS for the first time in many months and picked up Flashpoint 1&2 and and aquaman tie in.  I liked it and plan on continuing.  I have been looking over the relaunch and there are a few that I will be checking out and am looking forward to it.   Marvel remains dead to me.

Glad to see that Guy will be in JLI.

Now what can you do about Ted Kord, J'onn J'onzz, and Captain Atom?

I'll be getting the George Perez Superman (since he is also doing the breakdowns and some may have not noticed) and trying out a few others based on my favourite writers and artists.
Really annoyed that one of my favourite artists Nicola Scott is not on a book. She is one of the best newish artists in the field today along with Ivan Reis.

Firestorm used to be my first
favorite super hero when I started collecting comics when
I was 12.

Mine as well. I remember clearly picking up the first issue of Fury of Firestorm and being captivated by the story and art (the cover was pretty awesome to boot). I didn't know who Firestorm was, but I thought the character design and concept (two people fused into one super-hero) was pretty cool.

I guess it appealled to me because the issue was straight-forward, well-drawn, and fun.

I hope those ingredients can apply to the reboot books.

While planning the September relaunch, DC's editorial team constructed a timeline that details the universe's history. Everything from the past that editors thought was integral and important was kept.

They state vehemently that a 25-year-old story is "still in continuity"? I don't know what's going on in their heads. Who are they attempting to reach? How many new readers have even bought "The Killing Joke"? And if potential new readers have, why would its standing in continuity even matter?

When "Casino Royale" with Daniel Craig was released, did the producers spend time in interviews assuring potential audiences that "View to a Kill" was "still in continuity"?

Well, keeping Judy Dench as M was a DC style non-reboot snafu!
