Trust me, Kevin, Emery cares.  Oh, how he cares.  And he doesn't care if you wonder why he cares!  ;-)

The general notion of a Superman story...

Except that the spark is gone between Clark and Lois, replaced by romantic breakfasts in bed. As my girlfriend's nine year old son would say, Blecchh.

Marriage certainly did more damage to Peter Parker than to Clark, but both were huge UNNECESSARY changes.

Guys, do you think this reboot will drive fans to Marvel books?

No.

But does it really matter?  The "club" of people buying DC books right now (and Marvel, too) is pretty small.  I really think DC is trying to reach out beyond this club for new readers.  If the relaunch fails, what's the downside?  I don't think it can get much worse.  From DC's perspective, the relaunch will still probably get at least the same number of people currently buying the book, whether they are new readers or shifted readers.

Seems like in this reboot, JIm Lee's Wildstorm Universe will finally be part of DC...

Sigh.

He already was the Man of Steel, no need for an armor.

Invulnerable... 'nuff said.

I love George Perez's art, but even he can't make the Superman costume look good.
