I can see myself buying a few of the new titles but I'm losing Jeff Lemire Superboy, Booster Gold (even though it will become JLI), Batgirl, Gail Simone BOP, and who knows about Secret Six? I was really starting to like Red Robin as well.

The newer "darker" titles don't hold any appeal for me. Usually that means there may be a suprise in there that I'll love once I check it out.

About the hiring of Liefeld " a guy who had two teen titans scripts on his desk for 6 months before starting to draw." (aproximative quote)

Maybe they bought a whip.

Wow is that supposed to be a joke? Rob Liefeld? Seriously? What a sad state comics truly are in...

Is this how Crisis On Infinite Earths felt to fandom back then? I hate to take such a negative stance on DC doing what they think they should be doing, but it just feels so wrong. I get more and more disgusted with each preview.

By the way i don't distlike Liefeld's art. He never became the artist he could have with hard work, his art full of errors on many levels, but it is nonetheless fun

Or at least it really was when it did first appear on New Mutants with Louise Simonson writing, and even now it is still enjoyable on occasion.

That Teen Titans image is just...yipes...

Good news that Paul Levitz will still be writing LEGION. The second
Legion book looks like it could be very cool.

I've never really understood the appeal of Hawk & Dove.

I like the pic of  the second Legion book (and the team in it), but am not a fan of Nicieza.

Is this how Crisis On Infinite Earths felt to fandom back then?

At the time of COIE, DC was pretty low on comic buyer's radars. Sure, New Teen Titans and Legion of Superheroes were strong sellers, but the 'old guard' of titles (Flash, Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman) all seemd to be spinning their wheels, trapped in formulaicstories.

For myself, the results of Crisis (not the maxi-series itself, which I found unnecessarily convoluted) were pretty exciting; it appeared that staid, unchanging DC was ready to shake things up, and did so with MOS, Year One, Wally as the Flash, George on WW, etc.

I didn't get a sense of fan backlash in the comic magazines I read; there seemed to be genuine interest on account of the creative teams being brought in to revitalize the books. I have a feeling Crisis brought alot of new readers to DC that had been following Marvel religiously.

This current 'reboot' is different, IMO. It feels like a panic move, throwing out the bathwater before the tub is half full. I question the logic behind concepts that are receiving titles, as well as creative teams that aren't particularly buzz-worthy (in most cases).

Oh well, we'll see how it all turns out....

So let's sum it up...

I'm interested by:

Batgirl (Gail Simone+good artist)

Firestorm (EVS/Simone+Cinar)

Aquaman (Johns/Reis)

Justice League Dark

Perez's Superman

And maybe:

Batman

 Resurrection Man

Swamp Thing

The Legion titles will be leaving my pull-list. I just can't handle another "take" on them, not after finally having the REAL Legion back.
