Yildiray Cinar is the artist on the Ethan Van Sciver/Gail Simone co-writen  FIRESTORM series...

.... so who will be  drawing Paul Levitz's Legion Of Super-Heroes?

This is one of those instances where I will have to take a "wait and see" attitude because none of what I have seen so far is getting me excited.

I'm interested by:

-Batgirl (Barbara Gordon), no matter who will be the creative team, but i hope it will be people whose work i can enjoy.

-Firestorm, i don't know what Van Sciver is worth as a writer or co-plotter, but i like Gail Simone and Yilderai Cinar + I like the character.

-Hawkman by Tony Daniel and Philip Tan. More for the character than the creators, but the creators are ok.

-Aquaman even if that cover doesn't seduce me much.

-I'll give a look to Wonder Woman. I like that cover.

-I also like the Deadman cover by Ryan Sook for DC Universe Presents.

I don't think they are planning the series for survival. Not all at least. I think there'll be a lot of rotating series around the "strong" ones like Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and JLA.
My fears are in the way they will handle this "new" universe. If they start with a lot of crossovers and events... I'm out of there.

I hope that the JLI doesn't try to be funny. I dropped the recent mini because I don't care for Judd Winick but Jurgens and Lopresti could be fun. Unfortunately, I guess Booster Gold is cancelled.

I'm seeing a lot of bad costumes here (that Firestorm and Hawkman, to name two), and I'm marvelling at the thought that ONE man has taken it upon himself to redesign 50 characters. That's an entire comic line-up in one man's image. If anything is historic in all of this, it must surely be that level of arrogance?

Jim Lee is not designing all of the costumes.  Some of the redesigns are done by other artists.

Yeah.. i believe that Firestorm is an Ethan Van Sciver design.

I came back to comics after the Ultimate line was introduced but for a while that line was pretty successful (I'm not a fan) because they told there own stories and didn't do alot of crossing over. That may be the key to the success of the new DC Universe, if you start 52 new titles THEN do a bunch of minis and crossovers, you're asking for alot of trouble.
