"DC for some reason assumed that multiple earths were confusing."

The inner workings at DC have been quite strange for a good long while.  I was just reading a book from the early 90s and in that era's version of the Bullpen Bulletins/Meanwhile page, they were talking about Tim Drake as the new Robin.  Denny O'Neil was quoted on the subject of Robin's green shorts and booties and said that folks inside DC had considered that look problematic for 20 years.  20 years!

People tend to over think things too much.

I think that what you have inside your mind is what makes you see strange things, where there are none...

The worst part of the list of 52 is that roughly 2/3 of the books have no
inherent interest to any "new reader" who doesn't know who
characters like the Red Hood or Mister Miracle are.
------------------------

If they are a truly new reader, then it is all new to them.   And for
those who recognize names, well, they aren't buying Superman now so
why would they expect to attract them with a new Superman. Now a
Red Hood title might get their interest for just the reason that it's new
to them.

Like most reboots and other gimmicks, I think that this will give way to the iconic characters we know and love.

Jim Lee pencils and inks from JLA #2

Say what you will about Jim Lee, but he's heads and shoulders above any of the other Image artists. He's also one of the only ones to actually improve.

I'm still not liking the Superman costume though :\

Hahaha! So...

--SPOILERS--

The first issue of Justice League has a bunch of talking and doesn't feature the Justice League.

PRICELESS.

The stupid part of that Jim Lee spread from #2 (yes, THE stupid part - I'm only picking ONE for brevity's sake) is that the Superman Kryptonian Battle Armour has lines that would be perfectly placed to look as if Superman were wearing trunks...

That black and white picture looks more like Superman now than it will in colour.

Not too surprising that people are "piling on" the hatred of Justice League #1.  There was no way it could ever live up to its hype.

Spoiler mode:

INVISO TEXT (Click or highlight to reveal):
People complain that it doesn't feature all the heroes that will eventually make up the League and that it just feature Batman and Green Lantern (with a short appearance by Cyborg).  However, if they decided to cram everything into one issue with the full League attacking Darkseid immediately with no story set-up as to why, then people would complain about it being a rush job.  It's really a no-win situation for the creators because loads of people were gearing up to rip it to shreds.

Anyway, I tend to ignore reviews and prefer to read it for myself before judging it.
